On The Range At Hautere
Last Saturday the Hautere Rifle Club's championship series advariced a shape further, when a double ten was fired at 500 yards. " iSText Saturday will see the final of the short ranges counting in 'ihe belt series, and also the final. for Mr. Lumsden's Cup, which is at a very interesting stage,- the first six being separate'd by only five points. Last Saturday the scores were not unusualiy high owing to a very tricky rear fishtail. Mr. H. Wylie's trophy was won by E. Taylor. The individual scores and-hahdl-caps were ,as follows, the main being 48: E. Taylor 42 — 45—11 — 95, R. L. Monk 47 — 45 — 2—94, Lr E. Monk 45 — 44 — 4 — 93, J. Simcox 40 — 41 — 12 — 93, F. H. Monk 40 —44—4—88, C. Cobb 47— 40— scr.— 87, V. La Greca 30— 37— 14— 81 .and B. Geange 30—36 — 14 — 80.. Next Saturday the range will be 600 yards, when shooting wiu commence at 9 a.ri.
