AUCKLAND, Marcli 21. The official uominee of the noniinaliiig conimittee for the position of President of Rotary International for 1948-49, Mr. Angus S. Mitchell, of Melbourne, arrived at Auckland by Trans-Australian Airlines Skymaster from Sydney. He is 011 his wav to America to atteud the International Rotary Convcntion which will be held at Rio de Janiero from ilay 16 to 20. Mr. Mitchell is the first Australian to be nominated for the world rotary post. Interviewed after his arrival he expressed his strong- belief in the . ini portant influence of the movement in world affairs.
