Easter Sports And Picnic At Otaki
Easter Saturday should be a red letter day for the Otaki and Dis^ trict Horse Club, which is holding its annual sports on that date. ; A wide variety of entertainihg- events has been arranged, and the enquiries received for programmes of axemen's, Highland danGing and horse events augurs well for- the success of the functiori. - Visitors are expected from many parts and arrangements are well in hand, it was reported at Friday night's. meeting of the elub. The Otaki Band an'd girls marching team, "The Bandoliers," have promised to assist, as also have the Otaki Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club. Altogether a most successful day seems assured. At a recent meeting of the: club the sum of £25 was voted to the-5 Otaki war memorial elfort, and a further donation is contemplatedfollowing the sports meeting. As there has been litfcle eritertainment out of doors lately on account of paralysis restrictions, all roads should lead to Hautere, the venue of the sports meeting on Easter, Saturday. : . • z-
