Roftald Colman and Loretta Young haye won the Motion Pipture Academy aWards for the best actor and actress of 1947, the former for his work In "Double Life ' and Miss Young for her work in_ "The Farmer's Daughter." Miss Young's award was one of thb biggpst sUrprises in academy history. "Green Dolphin Street" won the award- for the best achievement in special effects.
