The Goverumeut 's views on the Mangakino power works strike were atated to oflicials of tlie New Zealand Workers' Union today and were discussqd at a meeting of the" uatiohal executh'e of -the Federation of Laboirr todav. Tlie national executi ve of the Federation also considered the Government's reply to its proposals for a settlement of the carpenters; dispute. The Government and .trade- union ollicials stated toniglit that they had no statement to make at .this stage.
