Received Mondav, S.10 p.m. BRISBANE, March 15. Beeause of the long transport striko, half the retail ' trade in Brisbane is now being done -on credit. The strike lias cost millions of pounds in pubhc and private revenue and 'is badly delaVing infer-Stale and overseas trade. In six weeks the strikers and men stood down beeause of tlie stoppages have lost £.300,000 i.n wages alone. Retail business in Querensland is at its lowest ebb for years. The State honsing programme is at a standstiJJ, the railways have lost £1,500,000 in revenue, and eargoes worth £2,500,000 are tied u p in idle ships. This season's sugar crop is in jeo-
