Shannon People Have Their Bread Wrapped
Up to the present, and all through the war years, the people of Shannon have. 'been most fortunate in that they , have not had trouble taking wrapping for their bread. It has. always been wrapped. for them at the shops: This necessary service, for health re.a'sons, is appreciated, especially as the paper is hard to get and increases the cost, to the retailer. In another matter one often hears complaints and that is about, some of the local , shpps and.thW bank, which still persisthh the'.war-i time measure of closing for dinner from 12.30 to 1.30 p.m. Inconveni-. ence is caused would-be customers and incidentally 'some loss of trade to these shops. For Shannon to progress an up-to-date policy is needed.
