It was pointed out that considerable improvement was desired. The dwners are to be consulted oii the matter of requirements. The Otaki branch of the Nev/ Zealand Labour Party wrote stating that it was desired that the council take into consideratibn the disposal of surplus vegetables in the district, and suggested that the matter be brought before the commercial growers with the view to establishing a pulping ractory anti also the handling of pickles, which would be able to save mucli waste, besides being beneficial to the district. It was decided to refer the subject to the Otaki Commercial gardeners for comideration. .The Manawatu- Regional Planmng Council wrotf advislng that the suggestion that the boundary between the Manswatu and Wellington regional area be so adjust- . ed as to place Otaki Borough in the Wellington area, would- have I consideration at the * next meeting oL the regional council. The works committee recommended that the eastern end of Iti Street be graded and metailed when circumstances permit, that an" extra man be put on to work on drams on Tasman and - Convent Roads, that a deputation wait on.
