A special meeting of the National Council of the New Zealand Federation of Labour has heen sitmmone,d.,for Sunday morning next to consider action on the Government's refnsal to appoint a tribunal under the Strikes and Lockouts Emergency Regulations for the settlement of the carpenters.' dispute. The decision to hold the meeting was announced hy the secretary of the Federation (Mr. K. Baxter) after a meet' Ing of the national executive today.
