Members Of Levin W.I. Meets
The Levin Women 's Institute held its March meeting last week. There was a fairly good attendance of members and all were welcomed by the president, Mrs. Kellaway. Mrs. Niehol gave the thought for the month— "Being happy is not lust wanting something. but being satished with what one has." The president appealed to all members to give as much help as nossible with the forthcoming shoni day in Levin to aid the work of CORSO, mentioning that any saleable goods would be gratefullv received. Two -letters were rea3 from the sister link in England, thanking members for parcels received and Christmas cakes. Members wishing to attend the halfyearly council meeting at Tawa
Flat were asked to advise the secretary .so that transport could be arranged. A competjtion for overseas parcels, the prize for which was donated by Mrs. Maugham, was won by Mrs. Mitchell. The monthly competitions resulted as- follows: — Flowers: Mrs. Maugham 1,, Mrs. Milne 2, Mrs. Mearing 3. Shrubs Miss Parry 1; Mrs, Mudgway .2, Mrs. Suhan 3. .Vegetable: Mrs. Jones 1, Mrs. Sharp 2.
