Angelotte-Mackenseii said two Messerschmitt aireraft were made -ready for Hitler Js eseape during tlie week before the eollapse of Berlin. Hitler aiid Eva Braun and (Hitler 's deputy, Martin ' * Bormann made their way from the Chancellcry on f'qot'towards the" Templ'ehof Airport where the planes were waiting, hut on the way Bormann was killed. f The planes, of which Angelotte-Mackenscn claimed he piloted one, finally took off with Hitler and Eva Braun in one maehine and an escort of S.H. Guards in the other.
