Bowling Tournament
Eleven rinks, including some from Khandallah and. elsewhere, visited Otaki 'during the weekend and indulged in a tournament. Fiv.e rinks tied and in the semi-finals of three heads Merwood beat Grey and Baker beat 'Pike, while" Baker also beat Eaton. In the final Merwood beat Baker. He was supported by Winterburn, Horn . and Southgate, while Baker ha-d Barron, Atmore and Purvis. " At the conclusion o'f play Mr. -W. Wilson, president of the club, . in handing over the trophies, congratulated all players concerned on their play. Wins secured were: Merwood, , Pike, Baker, Eaton and Grey, three games each; Milne, Bartosh, Wilson and Venn, two each; Kearns, one; Newth, nil. ■
