AUCKLAND, March 8. Kithcr the Government must establish a domestic buvmg' schedule for the retail meat trade or the Xew Zealanci Master Butchers' Federation niust demand that meat be removed from price control. A statement fo this effect was made to the anmial conference of the Federation this morning by the national president (Air. .1. W. Perrv, Auckland'1 in liis annual report. 11 r. Perrv added that mucli agitation would be caused in the retail meat trade in Xew Zealand dnring the coniing- winter in particular because otV the present svsteni of price control. The, control of retaif prices of meat could be elfective only if it were I'elated to the purchase of stock. The conference discuss'ed in coinmittee the question of ofttaining a wholesale meat order. The discussion was liased on three remits, but after nearlv four hours 110 doeision was reached and furlhor deliberation wa's deferred.
