Arab Armies Ready In North Palestine
Received Monday, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, Mare.li 7. Fawzi el Rawaki, who has agsumed aetive command of the Northern Palestine Arab armies, sai.d after an inspection tour: "Everyt^iing is ready. The battle starts when I give the word," It is officjally anilQUhced in Jerusalem that a Jewish convoy ip the Gaza distrjct hred on a band of Aiabs, and killed five .and wounded one. Three hundred Arabs, using two armoured ears, attacke-d Jewish road blocks in- the Gaza-Beersheba area. One Arab was killed and bne Arab and five Jews wounded. Arabs shot up a Jewish armoured ear which was attempting to pass through the Arab quarter of Jerusalem, killed the driver and set the car on fire.
