Modern Ground Improvement
The latest methods of ground preparation for sowing may be seen in various streets of Levin where Mr. G. W. Cun'dy has had a rqtary hoe working. Ground not hitherto cultivated has been prepared by the machine for a seed crop. The hoe tears the turf up and eonverts it into a mulch. In most cases four cuts are necessary to prepare virgin * ground, but when finished it is ideal for sowing, as the _ machine does the work of ploughing, discing and harrowing all m one- operation. Full particulars may be had on application to Messrs. Howard and Bleakley,' Oxford Street, , Levin. 'Phone 19S. — Advt. .
