Successful Rally By Pony Club
i - I'deal weather ' -f.Tavp.ured the Moutoa Pony Club "for its re-open-ing at Mr. P. Bang's • paddbck last Saturday. Thefe large crowd, i:\cluding several^ vjsjtqrs, ' ahd the grand' parade oi ;42 pdhies of differfent colours. ahd isizes made. an inspiring sight. The pupils of the" Shetland pony class, under their patient instructor, . Mr. C. McCarthy, are- doing very well. Some ,of them are now jumping their ponies and the spectators rather' enjoyed some of the incidents. During the afternoon the senior instruptor, Mr. S. W. Barber, presented *D" certificates to all riders who had qiialified during the year.' ; The club will be well represented at the Oroua- Downs sports - next Saturday, many riders having entered in the various competi-ti-ons. - 5 ' ,-r Mrs. Cook' loaned several ponies for those who ■ tdid;- , nofci have a - mount, and this was 'greatly 'appreciated. A ride to the Foxton Beach has been decided upon- as -one- of the club's next outings.
