New Officers Of N.Z.R.S.A. Nominated
It was intimated by the president of the * Levin R:S.A., Mr. N. M. . Thomson, at last night's quarterly general meeting, that MajorGeneral H. K. Kippenberger. C.B., C.B.E., DiS.O. and Bar, was allowing himseif to be nominated as. Domin- • ion preSident of the R.S.A. The? present president, Mr. C. O. Bell,\ would this year be declining nomination. Mr. Thomson sought u fesolution from members supporting the appointment of MajorGeneral Kippenberger as Dominion president! A motion to this effect, when put to vote, was carried unaminously-. - Major-General Kippenberger was a former G.O.C, of the 2nd N.Z. Division, and is now efiitor-in-chief of New Zealand War Histories. Mr. H. B. Burdekin as V.-P-It was also stated that Mr, H. B. Burdekin had been nominated for the position of vice -president of the N.Z.R.S.A., and a motion supporting his appointment was passed unanimously by . those present. In thanking thevLevin branch for its support, Mr. Burdekin said that to date he had the support off five other branches. ' • Mr. Burdekin has had ah association of 28 years-with the CR.S.A., and for some years has beeh district vice-president and an exceptionally aetive .worker on tne Dominion executive. His knowledge and experience in R.S.A. mat•ters has ,been ihvaluable to . the local branch. He has also made a. very valuable" contribution to the rehabilitation of servicemen, serv!ing on the finance and housing ' sub-Committees of the Levin Reha- | bilitation Committee for ' several ■ years.
