Tennis Club Notes
In a recent B grade tennis match played on the Weraroa Tennis Club's courts, Weraroa defeated Foxton by 13 sets to 3. Results were as follows, Weraroa players being mentioned first:— Men's singles: White beat" Sexton' 9—8; Waghorn beat Stewart 9—8; Lomas lost to Rejd 8 — 9; Palmer beat Wing Kuin 9 — 3. Ladies' Singles: Mrs. Brand beat Mrs. Hannay 7—2; Mrs. Palmer beat Miss Forbes 7—2; Miss Joll beat Miss Christen 7—4; Miss Maugham beat Misa Peterson 7—2 Men's doubles: White and Waghorn lost to Sexton an'd Stewart 7— 9; I/omas and Palmer beat Reid and Wing 9^-2. ' Ladies' doubles: Mesdames Brand and Palmer beat Mrs, Hannay and Miss Forbes 7—1; Misses Joll and Maugharn beat -Misses 'Christen .and Peterson 7—6.
