AUCKLAND, Feb. 28. Arrested in Auckland, the halt'caste Maori wife of a Chinese was charged at the police court today with the niurder of her daughter aged 41 years, at: Ohakune on December 3. Accused was Margaret Mary Teresa Loo, aged 26, who lived at Ohakune with her husband. According to the police the child was admitted to Raetihi Hospital and operated 011 for injuries but did not survive. For accused Mr. G. Ekelton said she was in a cortain condition and had a young child and anotlier boy aged 7 years to look after. Counsel applied for bail which was refused. Accused was remanded until March 4.
