Student Accountants Form Federation
BITNEDIN, Feb. 19. An organisation called the New Zealand Accountant Students ' Federation i was formed in Dunedin at a meetihg attended by 12 delegates representing 10 of the 14 student .associatiohs throughout the Dominion. -The chief objects of the federation are to promote the welfare and efluciency /of aceountant students' societies formed under the auspiges oi' the New Zealand Society of .Accountants, the advaneement of knowledge aiid" study of accountancy -and commerce, and the coordination of the activities of the societies. Examinations will be held annually as a pfeparation for *' the ofl'icial ones to follow later in the year, and debating and inter-society competitions will also be included in the activities of the federation. Membership of the federation is open to any society formed under the auspices of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. r The meeting adopted a constitution and appointed Mr. J. W. Miller (Wellington; as first president; MiSs N.- D'Wyet (Wellington) was appointed- secretarvtreasurer and M-r. A. N. Stone (Christchurch) vice-president.
