Otaki Bowling Club Holds Monthly Meeting
The monthly meeting of theOtaki Bowling Club was held on Tuesday night, the president, Mr. W. Wilson, presiding. .It was stated that the Olliver Shield match woul'd .be played at the Otaki Railway Club's green on Saturday next. The Wellington Centre wrote stating that it would visit Otaki on a date to be fixed. A match for the pennants with Plimmerton is also to be arranged, the game to take place at Otaki on a date suitable to Plimmerton. Mr. Horton reported that the green was in good order, but would need attention later. It was agreed that unfinancial members be asked to pay their subscriptions by the end of February, otherwise they woul'd be debarred from taking part in club "games. Mr. McGilligan, who had been in indifferent health,! consequently had relinquished his duties as secretary, had again re- ! sumed office. Mr. Avery was tlianked for his services. It was stated that nothing could be done at present relative to the impfovement of ,the ladies' shelter she'd, but' it was fhoped that the matter would receive early attention next season. Mr. Delaiponte was thanked for a geperous oifer to provide trophies for. a' tournament on March 6. , Tournaments The Otaki Railway Ladies' Club will hold a tournament on Tuesday when strong support is expected from outside clubs. Tournaments will be held at Otaki Railway green, starting at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday, February 29. Paraparaumu will hold a similar gathering on the same day.
