Naval Encounter In Antarctic Waters

Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 17. The Daily Herald says the tirst encounter hetween British and Argentine naval vessels in Falkland Islands' waters took place recently. His Majesty's sloop Snipe, carrying the Governor-General, Mr. Geoffrey Miles Clifford on his annual tonr oi the islands, met the Argentine minesweeper Seaver, at the South Orkney Islands. After an exchange of diplomatic protests, says the I-lerald, the crews of the two vessels went ashore and played foothall together.
