Levin Branch, will be held in the Druids' Hall, Bristol Street, Levin, on Wednesday, March 3, 1948, at 8 p.m. BUSINESS: 1. Proposal re purchase of Druids' Hall. 2. Subsidy Application. 3. Report on Bowling Club. . 4. Resolution from Wanganui R.S.A. concerning Members of Parliament Superannuation Scheme. 5. Notice of Motion: To be moved by Mr. A. Fletcher that the rules of this Association be amended by:— (1) Inserting the following as Clause B to Rule 13 and renumbering the present Clause B to read Clause C. "A person who submits to a local Association satisfactory evidence of having served overseas in accordance with the provisions of this Rule, notwithstanding that such person may be a member of _ the New Zealand Permanent l£ or Interim Armed Forces." (2) The addition of the following words to Rule 13 Clause B. "Except that the Dominion Council may on the recommendation of the Dominion Executive Committee deem to be eligible for active membership any person whose service in accordance with the provisions of this Rule was meritorious, irrespective of the nature of the discharge received." (3) Inserting the following as Rule 14 Clause H. "Providing that where any member of a local Association compounds ' his subscription in accordance with the rules of that Association, and desires a transfer to another affiliated Association he shall be admitted as a member of that Association upon receipt of advice ro this effect from his own Association and the member's own Association shall deal with an application for such advice in pursuance of this Clause. Where such a member is ~ transferred as aforesaid he shall be required to pay the current year's subscription to the Association to which he is transferred."' 6. Remits to Annual Conference. 7.
