Injured Climber Now Safely In Hospital

CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 15. Miss Ruth Adams, the climber who was injured at Mt. La Perouse on February 9, has arrived at the Christchurch Hospital. The rescue party reached Fox Glacier hostel, Weheka, at 12.30 p.m. to-day after carrying Miss Adams for four days over the main divide and down the precipitous icy western faces qf the Southern Alps and along a narrow trail cut through dense forest in the Cook River valley. She was met by a_ National Airways Cor-' portation Fox Moth at Weheka and flown to Harewood. The full extent of her injuries will not be known until an X-ray examination, but it is hoped that the broken left arm is the most serious.
