Otaki Bowlers Win Shield From Karori
The Otaki Bowlihg Club, by defeating Karori hy 4^ to 3^ games on Saturday, won the Roberts Shield. The games were very closeand Karori emerged with 168 points to Otaki's 157. On arrival the visitors were welcomed by the presMent of the Otaki1 Club, Mr. W. Wilson, the Karori president, Mr. Dallas, replying. At the conclusion of play, Mr. Dallas, in handing over the shield, expressed the thanks of the visitors for the hospitality extended to them by the Otaki ladies who had supervised the morning and afternoon tea arrangements. He congratulated Otaki on its win and mentioned that it was 21 years since the shield had first been com-' peted for.
