• Starring little Margaret O'Brien With Lionel Barrymore, Lewis Stone, Edward Arnold, and Thomas Mitchell, M.-G.-M.'s new comedydrama, "Three Wise Fools," screens at the Civic Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday as one of the season's outstanding productions. Ih brief, it tells the story of tliree hard-bitten ol'd bachelors, all once in love with the same beautiful girl who s-ubsequently elopes with an improvident singer and has since died. The three adopt her little grand-daughter in order to fieece the youngster out of a valuable piece of 'property. But the imaginative child remakes their characters and their lives through her love and her unshakeable belief in pixies.
