Levin Croquet Club's Games
Last week t.he Levin and Manakau Croquet Clubs met on the Levin lawns in the second round of the sherwood Cup competition. Levin won t-he two matches, ,Mrs. Boulton beating Mrs. Meredith 26 — 11 in the singles and Mesdames Pine an'd Hynes winning from Mesdames Bryant and Staples 26—18 in che doubles. Further games have taken place in the weekly club eompe.titions. Mesdames Dalzell and Murray defeated Mesdames Mudgway and Holdaway 26—24 in a game for the Brown Buttons. In the Worsfold Badges competition, Mesdames Pine and Bull beat Mesdames Mudgway and Boulton 26—24. . . A half-day tournament was held on Saturday" la&t. Mrs. Palmer won the A section with 34 points "and Mrs. . Bull the B s.ectidn with 26 points. ~ ■
