WAITARERE'S MEETING
The first 1948 meeting of the Waitarere Women's institute was attended by a fair niimber qf members. Mrs. - F-agan presided and welcomed those present, specially mentioning Mesdames Powell and Doyle, of the Levin Institute, and Mrs. Koberstein, of the Koputaroa Institute. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs. Turton and Miss stanley. u A letter was received from an institute in England, thanking jnembers for food parcels forwarded. An invitatioh was. received. from the Levin Institute to its birthday party in April. . Mrs. Doyle gave a Very interesting demonstration on the preserving Qf fruit and vegetables, members showing their a.ppreciation by acclamation.
