Sabu Now In Adult Role
The In'dian star, Sabu, formerly known as the "Elephant Boy," is no longer a boy, and in his latest picture, "The End of the River," he plays an adult role. He appears with Bibi Ferreira Brazilian star, as Manoel and Teresa, a simple young Brazilian Indian couple, who meet in strange circumstances in the jungle, fall in love and marry. After being exploited by man's gr.eed they return to the simple life into which they were born. Sabu, during a brief stay in Wel-. lington on' his return to America after service in the Pacific during the war, gave the writer a special interview, which was published in these columns. Sabu then said that his next film would see him in an adult role as he thought the "boy" roles were now past him.
