County Does Not Favour Library Scheme
At a meeting of. the Manawata County Council held at Sanson on Tuesday, a letter was feceived from the Shannon Borough Council regarding the adoption of the free library service and suggesting-.its availability to country residents in return for a grant from the county council. The council decided that as very few of the country residents would be able to use the service, it was not justified in making the grant.
