T1MAEU, Feb. 11. No eommunication has been received from the mountaineering parties inaking for the summit of Mt. La Perouse to rescue to injured elimber, Miss liutli ' Adams, of Christchurch. This inform- j ation was given this evening by the . manager of The Ilerniitage (Alr. L. S. i Dennis) who said that a guide from | Pranz Josef was already on his way i with members of a bnsh clearing party, ! to meet the rescue party at the bush. ! line on the western side of the mountain. ! He is to return immediately to Franz ! Jesef and notify Mr. Dennis of the I condition of the injured woman. This j message is expected to arrive on Friday ] night. Transport arrangements will be arranged in the light of the guide 's report. Arrangements are being made at Franz J osef for men to carry supplies to the rescue party on their way out as the National Airways Corporation was uuable to assist by dropping supplies from an aircraft. It is expected that the party of 15 will reaeh the bush line at Gulch Creek on Friday night. The weather at The Herinitage was deleriorating tonight, the sky being overcast and a strong northeast wind blowing.
