The Liberals and Conservatives ai (iHtehead have agreed to sink pariy differenees and pul a singie candidah in the field at the next general election against the present Labour lnember, ALr. Jvonni Zilliacus. The new conibined opposition body wili be known as the (ialeshead Liberal and ( 'onservat ive I'nited AsSociat ion. Liberal Xation'aL field the seat troni 1031 until ,104.1 when -Mr. Zilliacus was returned with a ina.jorit v of 10,000. He has been one of the inost outspoken e.ritics of -Mi. Levin 's foreigu policy and is a strong advocate of Loinniunist polieies thougli he is not a meniber of the ( 'oniiiiunis; J'aity.
