Acclimatisation Officers Visit Otaki

A well attended meeting of the committee and honorary rangers of the Acclimatisation Society met on Monday night, to listen to an address by Mr. Wilson, the society's ranger for the Wellington district. Accompanying him was Mr. Jones, chairman of the Game Committee. Mr. Wilson spoke on the duties of the honorary rangers and the preservation of fish and game gonerally. The second speaker Mr. Jones, referred to the game side of the Society's work, and told members of the replacements of the broo'der house and outbuildings that were destroyed by fire last year. It was stated that these * had been reer.ected at very little cost to the society by volunteer labour and from timber milled from the game farm bush. The chairman, Mr. C. C. Holmes, thanked Messrs. Wilson and Jones for coming to Otaki and giving such excellent addresses.
