To enable tliem to meet the cost ot higher wages and increased holidays for employees in the catering industry. hotel and restaurant employers have rocpiested the Ministrv of Food to allow' theui to increase the present maxiinum charge for a tliree-course meal from 5 i.o (is or 7s. The employers contend ! that tlie new wages rates and longui holidays will increase their operating costs by 20 per cent.
