New enrolments at the Horowhenua College show an increase on the figures issued last year. It has not been possible to estimate with any accuracy the number of .students returning to school, but it is - feared that many whose training is incomplete will tend to drift into .positions and, with the added attraction of high rates of pay, will remain • there. * The numbers of new eenrolments are as follows, the figures for last year being given in parenthesis : —Boys 86 (69) , girls 83 «.75)/ 'total 169 (144).
