Murder Case Against Woman May Be Dropped

WELLINGTON, Feb. 11. "This case is now in the hands of the Attorney- General as to whether or not the matter will proceed," said Mr. A. M. Gouldingy S.M.,' .in the Magistrate's Court today, when the name of Winifred Margaret Swan, domestic, aged 59, was called on the charge of the murder of Edith Phyllis Swan at Eastbourne on November 5. ^ A further remand of a fortnight was granted, it being stated by the police that accused in the meantime would remain in the mental hospital. ■
