ARABS AMBUSH JEWISH CONVOY
Received Monday, 9.45 a.m. JERUSALEM, Feb. 8. Arab guerrillas ambushed five Jewish lorries carrying food and petrol from Jerusalem to a settleme'nt on the Tel Aviv Road, and destroyed one lorry and killed the driver. The remainder of the convoy fought its wffy through the road block. The guerrillas again ambushed the eonvoy oh . |ts returh, and forced one lorry off the road and killed the driver. Paratroopers bfoke up a battle between Jews and- Arabs in Haifa When they came under fire, the paratroopers- returned the fire and killed three Arabs.
