The range is to be constructed of concrete blocks made by the 'club's members. The club is indebted for the kirid offer of Mr. W. McBeth to lease of land on which to build the range. - !. . First formed in 1937 with a mehib'ership of nearly 60, the club had many successful and enjoyable evenings" until 1942, when it h'ad to go into recess owing to a large percentage of its members going overseas and its rifles . Were commandeered by the Army Department. Since the end of the war, a number of - ol'd members . have been endeavouring to revive the cllib, but have been under the handicap of having np suitable range. Now the. opportunity has arrived to erect a suitable building, and members theraselves will carry out the wojrk.. • . To help raise funds for the range, the club intends to hold a shop day in the near future, wheh a generous response from the public will be greatly appreciated.
