Children Injured When Chimney Collapses

Thirteen children were injured, one fatally, when a chimney- collapsed and fell on pupils at the Coleraine State Sehool, in Western Yictoria. It was their lirst day at school for most children. . • The chimney, wliich had been condemned by the Health Department, was struck by a strong gust of wind when over G0 children from infant's classes were lined up m the sehool yard. One side of the chimney, which was ^ ten feet high and eight wide, collapsed, throwing a shower of bricks and rubbie on to the children. A tive-year-old bov was killed and the injured are all of similar age.
