Wounded Ex-Servicemen Are Entertained
♦ i; — — A number of wounded ex-service-men from Wellington were rece'ntly entertained for the day by the Waikanae Sub-Centre of the Red Oross Society. ' ' " L On arrival the : ex-serviGemen were taken to "Fernbank," Ihe home Of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Monk, at Reikorangi, where the residents ,had provided lunch. The' afternoon was spent at the beaeh, afternoon tea being served there. ' A visit was paid to the' Waikanae Beach bowling 'green', the-members providihg cigaretteS for the men. The day proved a very enjoyable one for all- assoeiated with it:
