Mr. A. Duncan, chairman of the council of the Galloway Cattle Society of Great Britain, is spending part of his holi'day in New Zealand with Mr. and Mrs. E, R. Wink-, ler, of Levin. Mr. W. Gilbert, skip of the Kelburn rink at the recent Taranaki bowling tournament, died in the New Plymouth Hospital today. Mr. Gilbert collapsed at the conclusion of play oh January 27 and was removed to the hospital.- Prominent both as a player and as an administrator, Mr. Gilbert was . wellknown to bowlers in all parts of the Dominion. He was a former secretary ... of the Wellington Bowling Centre and during his term on the Dominion council he proved very popular and an untiring worker.
