Changes On School Staff
With the commencement of the new year, there have been a number of changes in the staff s of the Horowhenua College and the Levin Primary School. " " . ■ T ' T Horowhenua College: Miss C. L. Thorn B.A. Dip, Ed., formerly • of Avonside High School and assist-, ant lecturer at Canterbury College has been appofnted to the staff of the college. .Mr. J. C..Findlater, of the Hawera Technical High School, Will join the staff. as teacher of shorthand-typing and 'commerce. Mf Findlater has had long •eTcperience as a teacher of commercial subjects. He is presi'dent of the Technical Teachers' Association, and has taken a prominent part in cultural- and civic develqpments in Hawera. Mr. J. H. C. Kissell, B.A., formerly on the staff of the- Pahia-* tua District High School, will join the science staff. Levin Primary .School: Mr. P. D. Chapman, until recently. stationed
at the Kopa Primary senooi, auckland, has been appointed as first assistant at the school. Miss A, Clayton, previously attached to the staff of the Shannon Primary School, has been re-appointeq to the Levin Primary School. Miss SPhillipps has taken over the "A" position made necessary by the recent increase in the roll. Mrs. B. M. Bryant "has -been appointed teacher of the' special class. Miss J. McLean and Mr. J. Goodwin have been attached to the staff as probationary assistants. Miss K. McNaughton has returned to take up her duties as art specialist, which were interrupte-d during the recent shortage of -teaching staff. Miss L. Bateman has been appointed supernumerary at the Paekakariki Public School.
