WANGANUI, Feb. 5. Prices paid ih the earlier section of the Wanganui wool sale today rfemained fully firm on those of Monday, when the firSt 20,000 of che total offering of 40,000 bales were sold. It was noticeable today that Bf adf oi'd and French interests werfe the mainstay of the keen market, with some French buying parcicuiarly animated for certain types. ^ A riew record price was reached for the Wanganui saie when eight bales of hali-bred, grown by Mr. Walter Ferhie,' Of Kakatahi, was taken by local mills at 49'd pef pound. A nfew high p'rice \yas reached aiso for a Wanganui sale for Romney lambs wich tlie sale of -one lot at 39'd.
