Manslield, plams to I cave Kngland toward the end of this montli in a round-the-world flight in a Aliles Alagistcr \. liicli he bought recent ly from the R.A.E. .• Mr. Manslield served during the war with No. LS0 Mitcludl Bomber Squadron attacking fi.ving bomb bases and until the end of last year piloted in ('hina for Trans-Asiatic Airlines. Air. Manslield intends a leisureiy flight over an itinerary planaed by the Royal Aero Club, lasting about three months. Ile intends to tly to New Zealand via lceland. Greenland, aeross F.S.A., Tokyo, ITong Kong, Singapore and Dris laine to Auckland. After a short stav v.'ith his family he will retnrn via Svdney, Dnrwin, Bnnna, Kanichi, Cairn, Malta, Sonthern Fi-ance to England. 'i'he machine in which Mr. Manslield will fly has been named »Spirit of Aotearoa.
