Many Arrests Followed Gandhi's Death

Received Wednesday, 11.5 a.m. NEW DELHI, Feb. 3. An India-wide investigation after Mr. Gandhi's assassination enabled the police to piece together details of the plot involving conspirators in all parts of the Dominion, but mainly centred in Bombay and Delhi. In Bombay the police searched 50 houses overnight and arrested 22 people. Three thou'sand workers and students threw stones, and shouted slogans against the Hindu extremists' organisations outside Parliament House as the Assembly resumed its session today.
