Small Month's Rainfall In Otaki
The rainfall in Otaki for January totalled 2.17 inches. The highest fall was 78 points on the 9. Rain' fell on -six days. One sharp shock nf earthquake was experienced on the 15th. Temperatures throughout the month were high, temper- - ed by two westerly blows. It w&s a fine summer^month, and encouraged numerous bathers to the seaside, more than for many years past. For January, 1947, the fall was 2.64 fnches, with eight rain days.
