Youth Shot When Deerstalking A 16-year-old farrqhand, "Alan Clive Smith, an employee on the Ngaio Downs station, was killed instantly in a shooting mishap on Sunday. He was a memher of a deerstalking party which, when the tragedy occurred, was working its way round a steep face in bush country about • 16 miles up the Clarence Valley. A leading member of the party dropped his rifle when he siipped on hjs face and the weapon was discharged, the bufiet striking Srhith between the eyes. The deceased wgs the son of Mr. and Mrs, S. E. Smith, of Fernton, Coilingwopd.
