A nine-.year-.Qld boy's prompt pction last night prevented whQt might havo heep a §eiieu§ outbreak when a ruhbish fire at the rear- pf a house in Oxford Street, oecupied by Mrs. G. Ryrie, spread to a AeQge pnd a wopden wireless poje nearby. The boy, John Routley, who l'ives next door, gave the alarm and the Levin Fiye Brigade soon arrivpd and quelied the blaze. Within foqr ■feet of the fire is Routley's garage aufi M?§.. Routley quickly droye out of harms way, the new car it contained. A large crowd soon gathered apd Traffic Inspector M. Kehoe was qn* duty cflrecting tyaffic past the blaze. .
