The totalisator handled £163,9544 compared with £137,7484 on the corresponding day last year, an increase of £26,206. C. MeC'oll, rider of Harris Tweed in the Orewa Hurdles, was suspended for one inonth for causing interference tc Bold Tide. An inquiry was held into the falling of Sly Eobin' in tlie Eerry Handicap. It was found that the fal was caused through Sly Eobin getting on the heeis of Alnajo, the occurreuce being acoidental. As the result of injuries received vvhen tli-ey fell during the running of the Wynyard Handicap, Norman Knight and Foxrose were destroyed.
