Smoke Fairly Thick Witness. led a fireman to the double doors halfway down the alley. After the doors ' were.. opened the smoke was fairly tiiiiSk' The fireman went for a respirator. One fireman said it was impossible to get through that way. Witness took a ^jeman? inside the shop, but when told that a wire door would ,have to be broken down to gain access to the cellar, the fireman said it was no use going that way and returned to the engine. The hearing is proceeding.
